Colour is the absolute heartland of Benetton. Together with Mazzucchelli, the Italian acetate specialist, the brand has created bespoke colourations for selected acetate opticals. Mazzucchelli uses tradition and modernity in materials to innovate whilst Benetton offers stylish and versatile garments, which can all be mix and matched based on colour.
Crafted in high-quality brown horn acetate, BEO1000 (pictured below) is square in shape and its front boasts a shiny finish. This practical style has a double bridge and specifically colour blocked matte temples. To keep the Benetton tradition alive, it also features bespoke adjustable nose pads for a comfortable and diverse fit.
The acetate answer to the feminine cat-eye shape seen in the previous blog post is BEO1004. The coral version (see above right), exclusively developed by Mazzucchelli, features laminated temples for a sleek feel and look. Other colour variations also include navy, teal, red and pink.
All pieces are signed off with subtle engraved branding on the temples, as well as the original signature logo. The logo representing a knitting stitch placed to the end of temple tips.
Benetton’s love-for-colour values that have always distinguished the brand go hand in hand with this acetate optical range.
