Jean-Charles de Castelbajac’s ‘Blended Future’ took to stage at La Pelota in Brera for Milan Fashion Week. As one of the iconic fashion locations, this was the perfect setting for staging ‘the future according to Benetton‘ which blends on-trend apparel into a single style idea.
The magical event consisted of fashion, performances, skaters and a DJ booth. Showcasing how we are more ‘united’ than ever, the show included 30 models, 30 mannequins and an installation. De Castelbajac illustrated the power of visual merchandising, a staple in the brand’s philosophy.
From knitwear with lurex inserts to embroidered jacquard patterns, this FW20 collection burst with a mix ‘n match of colours and prints.
In addition to that, there were the vividly bold Benetton masks. Designed in vinyl and acetate, the frames matched the ‘blended’ theme featuring colourful checkered and camouflage prints. As a result, they were highly successful amongst the influencers who were wearing matching pieces fresh off the runway.
