The All Seeing Eye

Paying homage to Castelbajac’s ”Rainbow Machine” show are the infinite colours and retro styles embedded in the Benetton SUN20 collection.

See for example BE5014 (above) which plays with frosted crystal finishes on a traditional silhouette. With its aviator shape borrowed from the optical range, the model features custom design rubber temples with pressed patterns and minimalist moulding on the inside. As well as helping with grip, these geo-textured temples create an active fit and put forward a new, urban aesthetic. In addition to that, the style has also flexible metal nose pads.

Reviving a popular retro shape is BE5017 (see below on her). The look and feel of the frame exudes a playful glamour from the golden age of Hollywood. Featuring soft oval lenses, it is crafted in acetate with high gloss detailing on the front and on the temples. Continuing the retro vibe, a brand logo straight from the archive signs it off. Available in pops of primary colours loud and proud along the temples, this design is an instant classic without taking itself too seriously.
