The All Seeing Eye

Comment, Style & Design News from Mondottica

Influenced by the street-wear style and the sophistication of the ready-to-wear collection, the latest Sandro optical range for men liberally exudes Parisian nonchalance. The Sandro man creates a look, halfway between the elegance of his elders and the casualness of his brothers.

The key pieces in the collection are SD3003 and SD4010.

An oversized square shaped style, Sandro SD3003 is a boxy caravan frame with a full metal rim-wire front, angular lenses and a pronounced bridge. The temples are bevelled, with geometric detailing through to the laminated acetate end pieces which come in contrasting colour and pattern combinations such as crystal grey with shiny gunmetal and warm tort shell with light grey.

Sandro SD4010 is a super modern panto shape, made with a very lightweight metal rim-wire construction. The top half of the frame features a line of thin metal accented either by contrasting matt gold bridge and temples in the black version or by matching shiny rose gold bridge and temples in the rose gold option. The top bar features subtle branding and is a signature borrowed from the men’s collection, lending this style a unisex edge.
