Sergio Tacchini’s debut eyewear collection draws influence from the ’80s sport culture, including the Los Angeles Olympics in ’84. The sport awareness associated to the event, in fact, led to the historic look based on primary colours.
Taking inspiration from the legendary American tennis player John McEnroe, styles STRS1001 and STRS1002 are similar to a visor. A nod to the champion’s iconic headbands, these striking designs come in strong colours such as yellow, pink and navy- appealing to the more adventurous on and off the court. In addition, the acetate front and back wraps around the super lightweight, one-piece mirrored lens, holding it in place.
The iconic tennis ball logo takes centre stage, signing off these shield-like models in an unmistakable Tacchini way.
